Pink and Black 21st Birthday Cake

This pink and black fondant cake is one of my favorite color combinations. The subtlety of the pink with the black makes a bold, yet elegant statement for this 21 year old. The birthday girl was very pleased with her cake.

2009 Halloween Pumpkin Patch Cake

I made this cake for a Halloween office party. The orange and yellow leaves were made of fondant and the pumpkins of white chocolate. The pretzel stick fence put the last finishing touch on this cake.

Flowers and Butterflies Cake

Here is a cake I made for a little girl's 1st birthday. The flowers and butterflies were made of fondant and the little watering can on top was made of white chocolate. This cake was a joy to create. These photos were sent to me from her mom with the following note:

"Thank you again, it was a big hit. It is just as good the next day as it was on the first :)"

Pineapple Orange Chiffon Cakes

These cakes each have 2 light layers of orange chiffon, with fruit in the middle, covered with a whipped pineapple topping and topped off with fresh fruit. A good choice if you are craving for something light and fluffy.

Disney Princess Cake

I made this cake for my 3 year old niece whom likes to dress up as a different princess everyday, as any other 3 year old girl probably does. The carriages and castles were made of white chocolate, with royal icing flowers scattered about. I also made chocolate party favors to go along with the theme.

Cherry Blossom Wedding Cake

This was my first attempt at a 2-tiered fondant cake. I also used gumpaste for the first time to make the cherry blossoms. It is a carrot cake filled with cream cheese filling and iced with lemon buttercream, covered in fondant. I also made chocolate cupcakes with the remaining cherry blossom flowers.

Littlest Petshop Cupcakes

These Littlest Petshop cupcakes seem to be a popular request. I have had several people request these. Here is a comment from the latest of these orders:

Sunflower Cupcakes

These sunflower design cupcakes are made of chocolate cake with milk chocolate icing. I used mini-oreos for the center of the sunflowers and different colored m&m's for the ladybugs, bumblebees and caterpillar. I received the 1st place Golden Spatula award in a bake-off contest the first time I made these.
